Since the start, the sun and light have been a limitless source of creative energy for The Sunshine Jeweler. In 1977, Maison FRED’s path crossed with an exceptional yellow diamond of over 100 carats, whose radiant color literally appeared to have just captured the sun.
This discovery married perfectly with Fred Samuel’s vision of radiant and truly luminous jewelry. Its sparkling name, chosen for the occasion, reflects the stone perfectly: Le Soleil d’Or.
Returned to the Maison’s heritage in 2021, the mythical gem continues to both dazzle and inspire. This year, FRED is infusing the solar luminosity of its famous diamond in Soleil d’Or Sunrise, a High Jewelry collection designed to be worn every day.
Its nine creations with their graphic, contemporary lines play with different shades of the sun, captured at two key moments of the day: the soft, warm light it diffuses at sunrise, followed by the sparkling brilliance of its zenith. Recreating the inclination of the sun’s rays in an elegant, draped effect, they showcase shimmering reflections that change with each movement, illuminating the skin with their subtle shimmer.
