IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE SUNSHINE JEWELER’S IDEAL LIGHT

After paying tribute to the inner light that emanated from its founder Fred Samuel, Maison FRED is now on a quest for the jeweler’s “ideal light.” . Like a trip down memory lane the Monsieur Fred Ideal Light High Jewelry collection also explores the light that fuels the creative energy of FRED, the Sunshine Jeweler. With its vibrant colors, it reveals creations infused with emotions and sensations at the crossroads of dreams and reality.

“I ducked my head below the surface, the sun filtered through the water and suddenly, the light created a mirage of a distant country, a street corner, hawkers on a huge beach. My ideal light.” Fred Samuel, A Jeweller's Memoirs, 1992

Chapter 1 : Blazing Audacity

A double look that translates into five jewels with fiery red, pink and orange notes. Blending the organic and geometric forms so dear to Maison FRED, each one seems to release all the solar energy of Argentina that has had such an impact on Monsieur Fred.

United in a graphic duo, its generous volumes are enhanced at the top by a round, vivid-orange spessartite garnet and a cushion-cut red spinel. This voluptuous design is embellished by an openwork baguette-cut paving of pink and red spinels and mandarin garnets, punctuated by brilliant-cut diamonds.

Chapter 2: Exalting Joy

A technical challenge underpinned by meticulous artisanship that showcases the expertise of the doublet: set against a white gold background and surrounded by brilliant-cut diamonds, FRED combines white opal and its iridescent reflections with the bluish hue of turquoise in a virtuoso interplay of brilliance and transparency, creating a new stone called Opalazur.

A 9.4-carat cushion-cut tourmaline center stone in shades of blue and green also adorns the center of an opulent three-in-one ring enhanced by two side elements that echo the fabric motifs of turquoise strips lined with white opals. Worn together, as a duo or separately on several fingers, these three elements can be used to create different looks.

Chapter 3 : Bright Vitality

For these flowing jewels, FRED chose seven exceptional gems from the prestigious Muzo mine in Colombia, renowned for producing some of the finest specimens in the world.

Encircling the neck, a ribbon necklace elegantly unfurls its diamond-shaped branches to the hollow of the bust. Asymmetrical, they are illuminated by two emeralds, one featuring 4.76 and the other 3.73 carats. A second choker necklace and an elegant bracelet embrace this plant motif, with a 5.23-carat emerald and a 4.34-carat emerald in the center. Un second collier ras de cou décline ce motif végétal au centre duquel brille une émeraude de 5,23 carats.

Chapter 4 : Endless Horizon

A story in which the four creations that it is comprised of naturally echo Fred Samuel’s love of the sea. Indissociable from his passion for sailing, FRED’s iconic cable has two precious and original interpretations here.

The cable, it unwinds into a long lasso necklace. Its carefully reworked aesthetic reveals a braided white gold rope on one side and an articulated combination of lapis lazuli and set white diamonds on the other.

These two cables are held in place at their centers by a double mobile ring that allows the necklace to be adjusted. Also paved with diamonds, it is set with a 10.10-carat pear-cut Ceylon sapphire.

This removable ring can also be used to split the cables into two short necklaces, offering a variety of ways to wear them. A matching bracelet accompanies them.

This maritime duo of white and blue introduces a new interpretation of the cable, revisited on a cocktail ring. Alternating lapis lazuli and rock crystal worked in the art of glyptic, it wraps around diamonds and a 4.1-carat cushion-cut Royal Blue sapphire, reminiscent of the glint of the sun on the water’s surface.

This strength and courage are embodied by the FRED Hero Cut diamond, set in a second ring. Set against a diamond and sapphire paving, recreating the illusion of cables, this 2.69-carat stone is an invitation to travel and bold adventure, today and tomorrow.

“I looked back at my childhood in Argentina, filled with sunshine and the reflections of water, and I realised that my passion for jewellery had inevitably stemmed from there, from the purity of those natural elements.” Fred Samuel, A Jeweller's Memoirs, 1992.
