In order to preserve its beauty and brilliance over time, and to slow down the natural deterioration of your jewelry, we recommend that you follow the following instructions for use and care on a daily basis.
Customization service

To make these occasions even more memorable, FRED is delighted to offer you the chance to fully personalize your jewelery with our bespoke engraving service.
Our team is committed to producing your engraving (subject to feasibility) whilst adhering to the technical specifications and aesthetic style of your design.
The size of your message will be carefully tailored to the design of your jewelery, so as to preserve its beauty. Personalized engraving is available free of charge for any jewelery purchased within three months.
After this period, a fee of €100 inclu. VAT will be applied to this service.

FRED can re-size (i.e. shorten or lengthen) your jewelery so that it fits perfectly and ensures optimal comfort when worn.
We are pleased to offer you the first re-sizing service free of charge within three months of purchasing your jewelery This service includes re-sizing necklaces and bracelets (by up to 4 cm), as well as re-sizing rings (subject to technical feasibility). After three months, or for any re-sizing adjustment exceeding 4 cm, alterations will be charged at €180 inclu. VAT plus the cost of any parts and/or metal.
A specific pricing structure will apply to link bracelets.
With regard to earrings, to ensure maximum comfort and a secure fit, the fastening system can be carefully adjusted to suit your preferences. This service is provided subject to technical feasibility.

Repair and restoration services
If your jewelery has been knocked or is showing signs of damage, we advise you to stop wearing it at once.
Please take it to one of our boutiques or an authorized FRED retailer so that our experts can examine it without delay.
Following an examination of your jewelery, you will be given a quote. Once we receive your approval, our expert jewelers will replace any missing components and/or repair any damaged parts to restore your jewelery to its original condition and luster.
For older pieces, FRED’s restoration service offers to restore their original brilliance.
Our jewelers in Paris — drawing on their expertise and our extensive archives — work with the utmost skill to restore your jewelery to its original condition.
This service is subject to an individual quote.
Authentication services
To certify the authenticity of your FRED jewelry, our experts conduct extensive research in our archives and meticulously analyze your jewelry. Where applicable, this process culminates in the issuance of a FRED certificate of authenticity, confirming the successful completion of this expert assessment.
A fee of €1500 inclu. VAT will be applied to the authentication service.
